On March 15, Taraz hosted the tenth regional conference "Woman and Business" aimed at discussing and finding ways to solve the problems that women face while organizing and developing their business in Kazakhstan. The event was hosted by the Corporate Fund "KMF-Demeu" and the Microfinance Institution "KMF".
The main goal of the conference is to provide women with access to modern methodologies and business methods for developing their businesses, the assistance of experts and business trainers. The conference is focused not only at established businesswomen, but also on micro entrepreneurs, self-employed women who are just starting out as entrepreneurs.



The conference gathered about 150 women entrepreneurs from Zhambyl region.
"Nearly 63% of KMF clients are women. Our everlasting objective is not only to provide them with affordable financing, including in the countryside, but also help to adapt in the market life, to suggest how to start a business properly and without losses, to provide a family and children. Therefore, for many tears now we have been investing considerable funds and efforts to educate women, developing their skills and competencies in the framework of the financial literacy improvement program," - commented Rauza Ibragimova, General Director of KMF-Demeu Fund. 

   

KMF Deputy Chairperson of the Management Board Karlygash Raikhanova delivered a welcoming speech: "For over 20 years on microcredit market, we have nurtured thousands of entrepreneurs - women in many regions of the country. We see that Kazakhstani women entrepreneurs are talented and energetic. And moreover, they are disciplined borrowers and well-balanced risk takers. In this regard, you are much better than male entrepreneurs. And this is not my opinion, it is a statistics. We also know the needs of women entrepreneurs living in the regions, where there is no access to affordable financing or knowledge and experience sharing with peers. By organizing business conferences, we try to provide a complex answer to women in business on all these issues. For this, we invited experts who will share their knowledge and skills with you. I am confident that after today's forum each of you will become more confident in your abilities, more professional, will get energy boost and knowledge in order to move forward to new business victories". 



The speaker of the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management made the presentation of Internet sales techniques at the event; the representative of the Family Business Association presented the "7 steps on the way to your business". Also, profile experts introduced methods of business sales and self-presentation as integral components of modern business. 

After presentations of the speakers, an exhibition-fair of the participants’ products was organized. Here, on the impromptu dialog-oriented platform, many of the entrepreneurs had opportunities to meet their colleagues from other districts of the region and make useful business contacts.
